Food

Protecting North America’s waterways starts at home with the food we eat, how it is grown, packaged, and transported.  Our goal it to eat organic foods with limited amounts of packaging and transportation thoughout the North American Odyssey.

Responsibly harvesting fish and edible plants, buying organic foods from farmers' markets, and Community Supported Agriculture programs are some of the ways we plan to fuel our bodies with the 4,000 to 7,000 calories that we burn each day on the trail.

This section contains information about the food we eat on the trail as well as current information about the benefits of organic and locally grown foods.
