Driftwood Provincial Park

After a great night's sleep, we woke up to a beautiful misty morning. Only a few minutes after we started paddling though, the mist burned off and the heat rolled in. It was another stiflingly hot day, but being on the river made it much better. After a great lunch break in the shade, we paddled to Driftwood Bay where we are staying at a campground and recharging our batteries. We met a woman named Rose this afternoon who was delighted to hear our story and came looking for us later with her husband George. They brought us some delicious fruit and vegetables. What a treat! Today has been another wonderful day, filled with beautiful sights, superb paddling, and great people. We saw a Blue Heron, four loons, a cormorant, and a raccoon today. We paddled about 22 miles today in five and a half hours. Posted from my iPhone using Joomla Admin Mobile!
