A hint of fall is in the air. The evenings are getting cooler and it is taking a little bit longer for the sun to warm things up in the mornings. This is my favorite time of year. The days are still plenty warm. Today was no exception. As the sun rose, we started sweating as we were paddling. It was nice to enter a more wild stretch of river. We saw a lot of Bald Eagles and several Blue Herons this morning. I was excited to notice wild rice growing in the shallows. Cows seem to be hanging out in the shade on the islands. We stopped briefly in Gagetown. As we were landing near the marina, a woman with a St. John newspaper recognized us and showed us the front page story. How fun to see that both the Fredericton and St. John papers ran the story!P8220060
