How do we stay in shape once we finish paddling?

As we near the end of this stage of the North American Odyssey we have been thinking about what life will be like when we return home. During the past five months, we have been paddling our canoe every day. This is a lot of exercise. Amy and I want to stay healthy and keep exercising once we are done paddling. What do you think we can do instead of paddling our canoe once we are back home? How much time should we try to spend exercising each day? What is your favorite form of exercise and how much exercise do you get every week?

 

Thank you for the great advice about dealing with the decreasing daylight.  We appreciate your concern for our safety.  It sounds like you don’t want us to paddle in the dark.  We will try not to paddle before sunrise or after sunset.  It may take us another day or two if we have to shorten our mileage each day, but that is fine with us. We do have headlamps, just in case.
