Swampscott, Massachusetts

Print PDF

We had an opportunity to sail in a regatta today! Yesterday we paddled in to Swampscott and met Bill, Shelagh, and Maura. We stayed at their house and were treated to a delicious dinner. This morning Bill mentioned that we could call the skipper of the boat he races on to see if Dave and I could join them. Linda said yes and at 10:00 we found ourselves in the Marblehead harbor aboard the Ares. It was so fun to learn the basics of sailing and witness a race firsthand. I also enjoyed seeing the Massachusetts coastline from a new perspective.P9160327
