The wind was even stronger today, so we didn't paddle. As always, we used the time to catch up on “office” work. Our neighbor (Jim) in the campground gave us a ride to the store. I spent the afternoon writing postcards to classrooms. Since we are almost to Rhode Island, I figured that we needed to send out the Massachusetts postcards! Dave discovered that a friend from college lived nearby. It was a treat to visit with Gardner and Elizabeth. We spent the evening at Jim's campsite with two of his friends eating a delicious dinner. Quahogs (a type of clam) were even on the menu. Dave really enjoyed the quahogs. Here people gather quahogs and other seafood. What is a type of food that can be gathered in your area? It was fun to sit around the fire and chat with new friends. The weather was warm and even though rain had been predicted, it never came.P9260524
